About The WCJFL

The goal or mission of the Washington County Junior Football League (WCJFL) is to provide a safe, fun learning environment for the youth of our community. We strive to create an opportunity for kids to work together as a team toward common goals. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for authority figures (Board Members, Coaches, and Game officials). While we are not a farm system for high school football programs, we recognize the impact we may have on those programs. Our focus is on developing good life skills through the sports of football and cheerleading.

The Washington County Junior Junior Football League, Inc. is organized exclusively for charity and complying with the provisions of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code as amended, as a tax exempt entity.

The purpose of this league is to provide a democratic means for administering a junior football program at the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade level, the building of character, citizenship, and a spirit of cooperation and sportsmanship among its teams and players, both on and off the field and to provide the youth an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of football.

The Pee Wee Division consists of 8 teams of 3rd and 4th graders from every elementary school in the county and just like the Junior division these youth are drafted on to a team based on their school district. Just as stated in the leagues mission statement the Pee Wee’s are all about learning the fundamentals of football and sportsmanship.

The WCJFL Pee Wee division is all about instruction. The league does not keep records or track standing for this division
