Welcome to Washington County Junior Football League

All registrants are placed and/or drafted to a squad/team.  NO ONE is cut and we have a MUST play rule.   We are NOT a travel league, all games are played at Marty Snook Park in Hagerstown, MD with the possible exception of one game elsewhere.  Cheer does not tryout, they are automatically placed on a squad within their district.  Only districts with more than one football team in an area require tryouts and will then hold a draft.  Cheer who have brothers playing football, will follow their brother.  Players do not follow Cheer, per our bylaws.

The goal or mission of the Washington County Junior Football League (WCJFL) is to provide a safe, fun learning environment for the youth of our community. We strive to create an opportunity for kids to work together as a team toward common goals. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for authority figures (Board Members, Coaches, and Game officials). Our focus is on developing good life skills through the sports of football and cheerleading.

We are the largest youth sport organization in Washington County, Maryland!  More than 850 children are registered as football players or cheerleaders.

The league has 9 Junior League teams (Grades 5-8), 6 Pee Wee teams (Grades 3 & 4), and  10 Flag Teams (Grades K, 1 & 2).  We have 9 Cheer squads that are made up of ages ranging from 3 yrs to 8th grade.

Our Mission:
